·  Identify the library as a place to find materials for enjoyment and  information

·  Demonstrate proper book care

·  Choose appropriate books

·  Practice library manners

·  Practice correct check out and return procedures

·  Learn the terms and sections - “fiction” and “nonfiction”

·  Learn what the library card catalog is and begin to use it

·  Learn the vocabulary of books:  title, author, illustrator, etc.
