Physical Education

The students of Ascension School will: 

·                    Develop an awareness of the body and its function through movement and exercise 

·                    Develop an awareness and understanding of the importance of life-long physical fitness 

·                    Be provided with opportunities to learn life-long recreational skills 

·                    Understand the rules of games and sports 

·                    Develop sportsmanship and respect toward one another 

·                    Participate in organized and unstructured play in a cooperative spirit 

·                    Recognize that physical exercise is an important aspect of a healthy mental attitude
