The students of Ascension School will:

·                    Explain about maps and map keys

·                    Find the seven continents on a map

·                    Define a community and realize customs and community goals

·                    Explain that people have basic needs that must be met

·                    Describe how communities provide different kinds of goods and services based upon resources

·                    Identify land forms

·                    Identify bodies of water

·                    Distinguish between weather and climate

·                    Define culture

·                    Appreciate historic landmarks

·                    Recognize cities and suburbs
