Language Arts 

                    GOALS: 

The students of Ascension School will: 

·                    Identify proper and common nouns

·                    Recognize and identify adjectives and articles

·                    Define and identify pronouns

·                    Capitalize proper nouns and names, and learn the plurals

·                    Discuss and practice the four types of sentences: declarative, interrogative, exclamatory and imperative sentences

·                    Use correct punctuation

·                    Recognize verbs of action and being; determine agreement of subject and verb; identify irregular verbs

·                    Identify singular and plural of nouns

·                    Recognize and use quotation marks for conversation

·                    Compare adverbs

·                    Write, edit and utilize word processing to create and autobiography
