                   GOALS: 

The students of Ascension School will: 

·                    Appreciate belonging in the Christian community

·                    Learn about the call of Jesus to be His friends

·                    Realize the purpose   of the Church

·                    Name occasions of celebration

·                    Celebrate the presence of Jesus

·                    Understand and obey the Ten Commandments

·                    Discover ways to care for each other

·                    Recognize the existence of sin

·                    Ask for God’s forgiveness and help

·                    Pray the rosary and learn the Stations of the Cross

·                    Appreciate the Mass and the gift of Eucharist

·                    Experience the consequence of making choices

·                    Thank Jesus for the gift of Eucharist

·                    Grow in our awareness of Lent as a time to evaluate our commitment to Jesus

·                    Appreciate the Church’s mission to teach and serve as Jesus did
