                    GOALS: 

The students of Ascension School will: 

·                    Describe and classify vertebrates and invertebrates

·                    Describe and differentiate functions of plants

·                    Recognize and describe ecosystems and life cycles

·                    Locate the 6 major biomes and distinguish between freshwater and saltwater life forms

·                    Recognize common elements, describe the structure of an atom, distinguish between metal and non-metal elements

·                    Recognize how sound is made and identify the common features of all sound waves

·                    Describe “motion” and interpret the laws of motion

·                    Recognize and contrast renewable and nonrenewable resources

·                    Describe the major characteristics if geography that reflect the earth’s history

·                    Describe and identify the oceans

·                    Differentiate between weather and climate

·                    Describe the rotation of the earth

·                    Analyze and describe the major body systems
