·                    Practice map and globe skills

·                    Recognize geography of the United States

·                    Appreciate the contributions of the American Indians

·                    Explain the Constitution and three branches of government

·                    Define Northwest Passage, trade routes and exploration

·                    Recognize major figures in early American history

·                    Realize the reasons for the Civil War

·                    Understand key elements about the Great Depression and World Wars

·                    Appreciate the contributions of immigrants

·                    Follow the Civil Rights movement

·                    Review the Korean, Viet Nam and Persian Gulf Wars

·                    Review the 50 states and their capitols
