                    GOALS: 

The students of Ascension School will: 

·                    Increase knowledge of Baptism by realizing that we are anointed as Christians

·                    Relate Passover in the Old Law to Eucharist in the New Law

·                    Understand salvation history and key figures

·                    Grow in appreciation of Eucharist

·                    Understand that Mass is a remembrance of the sacrifice of Christ

·                    Grow in respect of life and the basic human rights

·                    Of all people

·                    Celebrate the seasons of the liturgical year

·                    Celebrate the feasts of Mary and the saints

·                    Express love for God through spontaneous prayer

·                    Recall formal prayers

CONTENT: 

·                    Jesus as Father, teacher and prophet

·                    Celebrating Advent, Lent, Christmas, Easter & holy days

·                    Old and New Testament

·                    Spontaneous and formal prayers

·                    Respect for all forms of life
