Music 

                    GOALS: 

The students of Ascension School will:                  

·                    Identify names with sounds of basic classroom and orchestral instruments

·                    Recognize folk music, theater music and opera

·                    Make music with a skiffle  band

·                    Demonstrate a positive attitude toward all class activities and with peers

·                    Demonstrate knowledge of musical terms, note value, and rhythms

·                    Lead singing at liturgical celebrations

·                    Recognize music as a means of communicating feelings through a study of symphonic works

·                    Identify various composers and their work
