GOALS: 

The students of Ascension School will: 

·                    Identify names with sounds of basic classroom and orchestral instruments

·                    Recognize and distinguish all types of Music

·                    Sing from memory specific songs

·                    Make music with a skiffle band

·                    Appreciate liturgical  music and its heritage

·                    Demonstrate knowledge of musical terms, note value and rhythms

·                    Read staff notation and notes to determine melody line

·                    Identify various composers and their works
